Sarah Lund hat

From leftovers of the Sarah Lund cardigan I made a coördinated hat. It fits a head size L.

You will need:
One skein of Istex Lett Lopi Black heather no.005 and some yards of leftovers for the motive.Circular needle 3,5 mm

Co 106 st in MC on a 3,5 mm circular needle, Join in the round.
Knit 2x2 rib for 8 rows with 3,5 mm ndl.
Knit 2 rows in MC using 4 mm circ. ndl.
Knit pattern for 17 rows, using leftovers of grey and light grey as CC.
Knit 4 rows in MC
next row: knit 10 st., knit 2tog repeat.
Knit one row.
Next row: knit 9 st., knit 2tog repeat.
Knit one row.
Next row: knit 8 st., knit 2tog repeat.
Knit one row.
Continue decreasing this way until a few st. remain. Break thread and pull end through remaining stitches.

Slightly felt hat in drying machine for a fuzzy appearance.

You can easily modify this simple pattern for the Brother 260 bulky knitting machine.
It goes like this:

Co 106 st in waste yarn and knit a few rows.
Knit one row with ravelyarn.
Change to MC and knit 2 rows in MC.
Set knitting machine for pattern knitting.
Knit pattern for 17 rows, using leftovers of grey and light grey as CC.
Knit 4 rows in MC
Remove stitches from needles using a circular needle 3,5 mm
Work decrease rounds in handknitting.

next row: knit 10 st., knit 2tog repeat.
Knit one row.
Next row: knit 9 st., knit 2tog repeat.
Knit one row.
Next row: knit 8 st., knit 2tog repeat.
Knit one row.
Continue decreasing this way until a few st. remain. Break thread and pull end through remaining stitches.
Sew backseam.
