De lente zit in de lucht en dan wordt het tijd voor lente sokken. Het patroon voor deze sokken vond ik
hier op Ravelry en ik heb het aangepast voor de breimachine. Het ontwerp is van Friederike Erbslein. Het blijft voor mij een uitdaging om op een machine zonder voorbed een goed passende sok te maken waarbij zo zo min mogelijk hoeft te naaien. Dankzij google zijn er verschillende manieren te vinden waarop je zoiets kunt doen. Deze lentesokken zijn wel goed gelukt vind ik zelf. Ik heb kraaltjes toegevoegd aan het bloemetjes motief en dat geeft ze net wat extra's. Toch wordt het nu wel eens tijd dat ik ga leren om met het Brother voorbed te werken. Dan kan ik gewoon een rondgebreide sok maken.

CO 68 st on WY, T5,knit 1 row. Change to MC (blue) knit 14 rows.
Next row: slip one st to adjacent ndl , move back free ndls in non-working position, knit one row.
Bring non-working ndls back in working pos. and knit 14 rows. Remove WY and pick up cast on st. on working ndls for picot edging.
T6: knit 4 rows of blue.
Start punchcard pattern and keep track of changing colours at the right time.
I added beads at the heart of every flower using a small crochet ndl.: take st. off the machine, insert crochet ndl through bead, draft st. through bead, hang st. back on ndl. bed again. Move carriage carefully!
After finishing punchcardpattern once knit 4 rows of green.
I worked a lookalike heelflap heel over 34 st.
Work sole and upper foot according to
Heidi's all toghether socks method.
Sole: RC =0, knit 60 rows and in the same time decr. 2 st. e.o.r. until 30 st. remain AND apply a hairpin at the end of every row.
Toe: short rowing 10-1-1- st (hang claw weight on back of fabric)
Upper foot: RC=0
* pick up first hairpinned loop and hang on 1st ndl., knit 1 row. Repeat 56 times.
Row 57 and 59: incr. 2 st. and in the mean time pick up the hairpinned loops like before.
Knit one row.
Change to WY and knit one row.
Cast off.
Kitchener stitch open ends together (front leg and upper foot) and sew sideseam.
Knit second sock mirrored.
Soak and block.
