The white tree of Gondor

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the hallway of our holiday home Rivendell in Monschau (Germany) hangs this quilt I recently finished. Tolkien lovers probably recognize the White Tree of Gondor. Gondor being one of the kingdoms of Middle-Earth. I found a drawing of the tree here I used this drawing for designing this quilt. The background fabric is one piece of readily printed and embroided cotton that I bought at a Jan Sikkes store. The white fabric was bought there as well. The stars are ready made applications, so making this quilt was not a lot of work. I outlined the tree motive and free motion quilted the rest of the background.
